Going to start my hunts in Oklahoma this weekend and was just curious if there were any hunters on here from Oklahoma and what do you use for deer tags? I have all of these ideas but don't know what would work the best or be durable enough to last due to rain or wind and such. Thanks for any help you could provide.

I'm thinking along the same lines but haven't come up with anything yet either. I usually end up using a scrap of paper out of my truck.
We kept it as a pet for several months until it got run over by a truck. Then we ate him.

Piece of paper with info and then put in ziplock bag. Zip tie it to where you want it.

You can also make some tags and laminate them and then have some string on end to tie it to deer.

I came up with a good idea. I have a roll of surveyor's ribbon in my back-pack for marking trails and such. It's plastic and I could write on it with a sharpie cause it is permanent and tie it around a does leg or bucks antlers. What do you think?

Could someone please explain a bit on this question? Do you have to make your own tags in oklahoma? They issue a license, but no tags to attach to the animals? (or do you get to make your own license too? )

It depends on if you have a lifetime or not. I have a life time so I just use duct tape and sharpie my info. You can get a paper tag that has instructions and a section to write if you just buy the tag over the counter.

If you have business cards just write you lic.# on 5-6 of them and put them some zip ties and some snake size ziplocks along with a pen in your pack.
take out the business card....write time, date, method of kill and location; put it in the snack size zip lock and ziptie it around the leg...DONE & water proof
Proceed to check in station or check in online.
