What do you guys feel is the strongest scented food/feed that deer will eat? I have heard sweet feed can be smelled at a better distance, but I wasn't sure if there was something else out there that you thought gave off a odor that deer can smell from farther away then other stuff.
Does peanut butter give off a big odor for deer, or does it make them jittery I wonder with an uncommon smell like that in the area?

Sorry, just saw the thread below. Looks pretty similar to my question, unless somebody has an answer for something I can buy and throw out to catch the deer's attention.

Alfalfa or peanut hay if peanuts are native to your area

I used apples and it seemed to bring them in. I went to a produce store and asked if they had some cull apples they wanted to get rid of. They brought out 4 five pound bags of apples and charged me $5. Most were good apples just had a few that were over ripe.

I like to throw in some Strawberry Jell-O into my sack of corn and shake it up. It worked last year.
