Yep the moon,the temp and not close to the rut are all keeping me home this weekend.Not to mention the 6 hr drive and the cost of diesel.My heart says go,but my experience and head say it will get better a little bit later.If I had a place close I would definitely be in stand though.Good luck.

I'm counting on the cloud cover taking the moon out of the equation but it looks like the clouds are going to skirt around my stand tonight. Ill be there anyway. You never know!

Where abouts? I'm in Tyler now. Headed to Rusk about 5 in the morning. Its about half hiney in Tyler. I can see the clouds but the moon is still shining through.

It's overcast here but still can see outside, just made a loop with the spotlight & every deer I saw was bedded.
