Lord I pray that you’ll watch over me
As I sit up in this hardwood tree
I love to watch your creation God
With my trusty bow and camouflage
To watch that buck blow steam out of his breath
I feel my heart beat in my chest
As he ever walks so slowly to my tree
I feel the nervousness come over me
I pray Lord as this arrow flies
That it hits on point and he will die
I release the string and hear the Thwak!
I gotta sit back down and get my composure back
He’s startin to stumble he’s going down
I cant believe it Big Buck Down
Im sure you will be humored from watching me
Shaking with excitement from up this tree
Ill remove my hat and humbly pray
Thank you Lord for this wonderful day.
