Any body seen one of these elusive creatures? Been wanting to see one since i heard they were coming out.
Next question anyone have one? How do they shoot?
I love my 17hmr, just curious if the 17 hornet will be as fun.

Should be just as fun, even better it can be reloaded. Ackley sure liked his version the 17K Hornet which except for shoulder angle the Hornady load matches very close to was one of his favorite rounds from what I have read. If you reload it should be a lot of fun.
I really like fast 17s for yotes and such, and the Hornet will be better for that than the HMR IMO.
Cabelas in Allen has the ammo, not sure if they have any rifles in stock for it.

Dicks sporting goods in New Braunfels had a savage in that caliber the other day,ammo too.

I just looked at one of my distributors. They have two Savages listed but none in stock and its listed as a "new" item. They have the ammo in from Hornady. Looks like a 20 gr Vmax. Should be a fun round.

Youll love the 17Hornet its a 1000fps faster and you can reload the brass
