Ok, THF. I have been an avid "Rage Broadhead" user for years. A buddy and I were discussing what is new and more effective for deer. What does the forum think?

For reference, I shoot a PSE Madness.....60lb draw.

I've been in the game for 7-8 years now with a bow and have been thru a number of broadheads. Currently on the G5 and took a hog last year, but seems like after every misshap, i blame the broadhead and move on. I've used rage and have had great success and really lien towards non mechanical types, but i think there are so many on the market taht will get the job done, just boils down to shot placement.

Hey BPITCHER, how are the doves down there in bay City? Wasn't a very good opener here in Fort Bend county.

simply put stick to what works. If you are confident in a broadhead or any equipment why change it just because there's something new? I have been using rage BH's since they came out and will continue to do so because I have a ton of confidence in them, but....that's just me.

Have been a big fan of the NAP Spitfire 100's. Started shooting them 15 years ago and they have dropped a lot of Kansas and Texas deer. Have always experienced a pass through and major blood trails.
I prefer the chisel point but have used both with much success. Almost all of my successful archery hunting friends shoot them as well.
Slick Tricks for shooting through mesh on pop ups.

Funny thing about getting older:
Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to
see through people's BS gets much better.

A .300 WSM is much more effective and gets them farther out! Ok what do I win since I won the debate about the "most effective"?

Rage 2 blade. Funny no one mentions Schwackers (Spelling?).. I see them on TV but do not know anyone that uses them personally. What's the deal them?

A hog is nothing more than a bullet receptacle.

I llove me some rage 2 blades...I have been using them since they first came out with great success. I did cheat last year and tried a T3....I hated it and went right back to my rages.
