Does is look like a rifle (buttstock and forend), or does it look like an AK (buttstock, pistol grip, and handguards)?

like a hunting rifle, unconverted They're great rifles in stock form. You can easily convert them to accept regular ak mags. You can also convert them to factory ak form, although not as easy. 650.00 is a little steep. A year ago, these were 300.00 online. I think they're 400.00 online now. I'd say keep it, and shoot the snot out of it.

I have one that shoots great. Put a tapco stock on it and modified to accept regular ak mags. Left everything else factory. Price seems a little high, but whats done is done. SHOOT IT!

No one really checks on that 922r bs and if you need to add some US parts take said part and stamp your initials and USA and you are good to go
You really only have to worry about that 922r if you are SBRing a Draco or mini Draco then youll have to swap some parts or stamp them XXX/USA because pistols dont fall into 922r and NFA items used to be in the same boat until recently theres 2 different letters out there you can read inquiring about it

Picture?
I converted mine and it's fairly simple. I scratched it up pretty good too in the process. It's definitely worth it to convert the trigger group.
There are also several outfits in Texas that do custom jobs on Saigas. Mine is at Tac 47 in Houston to cut down the barrel and install muzzle break, put HK sights on and get duracoated. All the in the previous sentence I'm not comfortable doing myself.

A good friend has a Saiga AK in standard AK layout. It is the best shooting AK I have ever been around and rings steel at 100 yards effortlessly!

Saigas are probably the best modern AK's you can get right now. They're still produced in the Izsmash factory alongside Russian military rifles.

GT's is charging 650 for Saiga sporter rifles? That seems awefully high for them.
