If you dont know this place you are missing out. It is the hill country, very beautiful set-up. when you pull in the morniungs you will probaly see between 20 and 30 deer grazing when you pull in the gate. awesome pleace, would love to live there, it is so beautiful.
John is a great guy, but soon I think Cody is boy will be running the place, I have never seen a boy know so much about animals and I mean everything that most hunters dont know, and both are crack shots.
I saw some young monsters there, 3 or 4 years ago, I took my oldest son there, because he was my only son that hadnt been interested in deer hunting, he got his first deer there at 26, and now he is like his brothers and me, A HUNTING FOOL!!!!

avid deer hunter that is disable but God has still blessed me.

Betcha Cody will be able to handle it all by himself. That is one extremely capable young man you've raised!

We got a total of 3.5 inches of rain from Friady evening to Saturday afternoon. We will be planting oats and peas in the next week or so. This hunting season should be one of our best!

Hey Don, The rain set me back about a week in planting but thats ok. We had a herd of axis show up last year, but they kinda come and go. I should be caught up in about a week or so we can finally get togather.

I have gotten 2 axis does,a fawn,a spike,a 2 year old buck, about a 27", and this morning saw a least a 30" and like you said they seem to come and go. As soon as you get caught up let me know.

.10" sounds like you might have gotten an inch or so with all the thunder that a way.

We just got hit hard in San Antonio, got hail high winds and a good down pour. A tree across the street from the station was blown over and now the people at the gym cant get out of the parking lot.

I had a cancellation on one of our BIG 8pt/9pt hunts for the 20th and 21st of October. This hunt includes a total of 3 deer (1) mature 8pt/9pt hunters choice and 2 doe or doe and cull buck $1650.00. This price includes guide fee and gutting of deer. This package can be split between two hunters. We are under MLD and this will be a rifle hunt.

The 20th and 21st of October has been filled. We still have a couple of our Big 8pt/9pt package hunts avaliable. Pictures from this past weekends hunt soon to follow. Had a great time with our 3rd year returning THF group from Houston.

Mature Bucks still in Batchelor groups, I sat out this morning and saw 5 mature bucks running together. They didnt even stop to eat corn, but did stop under some oak trees to pick up a few acorns.
