Rem 700 7mag. Only 12 yrs old but it has killed a lot of critters.
I don't smoke ,so I can't say but I highly doubt it. I do know a loud fart works! I think they like the smell plus I guess they think it's a buck grunt. _________________________

Mossberg 243. A lot of people talk bad about Mossberg's but I wouldn't trade this gun for anything.

The first firearm I ever took deer hunting was my Dads Rem 870 when I was 23 years old. Dad was a hunter, just not deer. Saw several that first year but all too far for slugs in smoothbore. BUT WAS HOOKED FROM THEN ON! Wife bought me a Glenfield 30A 30-30 for our first Christmas as husband and wife. Still have that gun (and always will). Both my boys took their first deer with that rifle.

M1 Carbine, still going strong. I started shooting it when I was 8 years old. Prior to that I was using a Stevens .410 youth shotgun with slugs
Both are still with me, the carbine makes it to a thicket stand every year or so and the .410 kills a squirrel now and then.

Still have mine. It's an old trusty model 700 .243 remington thats pushing 60-70 years old my grandpa gave me. Everyone in our family and now including my wife has shot their first deer with it. I plan on keeping it and passing it down to my children as well. It occasionally get's out of the safe when my mom wants to shoot something. Still a tack driver too!

I have the most beautiful browning a-bolt in 270. When I got it there wasn't a knick on it. Has an awesome scope and a gold trigger. This thing looks sharp. Took two deer with it last season.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. Thomas Edison.

Still got mine. A 700 Remington ADL .243. Still looks brand new and it is 28 years old. Killed a ton of deer with it.

My first was a brittish 303. My dad shot his first deer with it back in the early 60's gave it to me in the early 90's. I never shot a deer with it and it is at my dads house. This thread reminded me of that gun and im gonna go get that gun and shoot a doe with it this year. I shot my first deer with my dads remington 700 30-06 when i was about 9. He still used that gun up until last year when i gave him a browning a-bolt gold medalion for his b-day.
