I always hear about broken bolt lugs on these guns because of the bolt thrust produced by this cartridge
I would just get a AK or SKS if you want a 7.62x39 rifle or a CZ527 carbine those are really nice

Love mine, its an Oly. Its eaten every cheap round that I've put through it so far. Fixing to build some YHM complete uppers tomorrow in 7.62x39.

Don't believe the ARF.com hatred. Lower pressure round. Fits perfect. I use frankenmags, and ASC's w/ no prob. Just as with 5.56, don't attempt to exceed design specs.
I have AK/SKS as well. AR is preferred platform w/ this round.
Looking at 6.5G, but don't see practical improvement over proven design yet....

After mine ate the second bolt, I moved on. They weren't the "super bolt" somebody makes for this caliber. It ran about 90 percent at best. Monarch FMJ, Norinco 154gr SPs and handloaded 123gr Hornady SSTS fed best. It never fed Wolf HP well and that's the main reason I built it as I have spam cans full of the stuff but my SKSs don't mind it at all. It was very accurate and a hog killer but never reliable enough to hunt with. I did have 4 different ASC magazines and it was picky with all of them. I loved the cheap ammo but hated the lack of true reliability. Most finicky AR I ever owned and that's why it's gone.

I had one it wasn't horrible, but between the magazine not working as well with the round and it hating wolf ammo and some other issues, I got rid of it. I've thought about getting a 6.8 to go with a heavier round, but I'm planning on building a 300 blk for a little while. I would suggest avoiding that round in the AR platform.

I've never had a problem with mine. It eats anything I put in it including the cheapest Brown Bear that even my AK doesn't like. I find it to be a reliable and accurate setup even with the short 7.5" barrel. I only use the C-Products/ ASC mags I have the "enhanced" firing pin that is slightly longer than the .223 pin. Most negative things you hear about this caliber in an AR platform are attributed to using a 223 firing pin or bad mags

Watching your hog slaying videos while shooting your 7.62x39 is what got me started on mine....well, that and spam cans full of ammo. Did you have problems or just get tired of it? After my repeated frustrations and bolt problems I went back to 300BO also. Gotta admit I am sipping the 6.8SPC Koolaid right now....LOL!

I have a YHM 7.62 upper on a Black Rain lower. It is very accurate and has chewed up everything i have put thru it, steel case, soft point, hollow point, fmj using ASC mags. No firing issues or failure to feeds.

My Bushmaster upper runs good with a USGI lower parts kit. Some folks have trouble with light primer strikes but mine runs great with Barnaul ammo.

That super bolt is made by ARP but i think it requires a special bbl extension but not 100% and thats a nasty picture lol

Yep, that kind of accuracy from my 300BO coupled with the bolt problems with the 7.62x39 is what sent my 7.62x39 down the road in favor of a second 300BO..
