I am going to be on the lookout for quail to help train my dog next month. Is there a good place that you would recommend?

If you are around Bandera..we have a Quail facility out off Medina Hwy..I've purchased live birds from them..and they are
raised in flyways and work well in training..DD

With all the people that live in Dallas that have dogs, you would think someone would have some quail for sale around here. I'm going to be needing some too & my bird guy is over an hour south of Dallas.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Contact CoolHandsGSP on here. He's in Ft Worth and has a ton of birds for sale. He supplies most NSTRA trials an has some great flying birds that are cheaper than most! Pm me if you want his number!

I was browsing craigslist the other day and saw an add for a place in Waxahachie, that sells birds. The add showed a pic of the birds in a flight pen, I have never done any business with the guy yet, so I really don't know how stong of flyers they are. I say I have never done any business yet because I haven't had to buy any birds before, I will this year.

The law only requires you to band them during the off season. During quail season, they don't have to be banded.

I have quail and a place to train and shoot in Poetry, Texas 35 miles east of Dallas.
A licensed Private Bird Hunting Area and a licensed Game Bird Breeder with 45 acre field with perfect light cover and 4 ponds.
Trying to start bird dog owners and quail hunters business close to downtown Dallas.
Will have reasonable quail hunts in a few weeks and cooler weather. Now releasing quail for dog training and refreshing
