i am very new to duck hunting!! so this year i decided to try it out!!

i am sure just like every one else i have been soooo excited for early teal season!! i have learned alot these last 3 days....

#1you gotta get up earlier specially on public land
#2 the hike out is always longer and the gear is always heavier then the hike in
#3 dont leave phone at home with gps spots marked when walking in the dark and or fog

Opening day was a bust!! mostly watched the ducks and tried to get a poss ID before shooting. shot a few rounds, skybusting, guess i was excited

sunday was a a lot more fun!! shot more confidently at more birds and shot 1. My first bluewing

after that i was hooked!! at that moment i knew i was calling in on monday and going hunting!!

This morning i got up at 430 and out the house by 5am. good thing i had my phone today cuz with the fog i would have never found my spot. had a few ducks land on the decoys but to dark still!! by 809am i was picking up decoys

shot my 1st blue wing yesterday
today i shot my 1st green wing
today i shot my 1st limit on early teal AND.........
today i shot my 1st DOUBLE!!!!! 2 birds one shell!!

todays pics....

there are 4 there hard to get a pic on your own!!

AWESOME! Congratulations on all your firsts. This season you will have a lot of them, and many or them you will never forget! Glad you're hooked, and take any chance you can to learn from anyone else!

Buy new waders! Or patch the hole if it's small (and if you can even find it!) Aquaseal is the best fix on the market.

Leaky waders are just uncomfortable, not necesarrily dangerous, especially in Texas.

One of the best posts i have seen on here, ever. Some of it humble, some self deprecation, a hell of a lot of learning and hard work....and then the pay off....success. Great work. Took me almost 2 years to knock down my first limit. And over 2 years to kill my first greenwing. Nice work man, keep it up.

This, it's great you put in the work and learned. That's the best way to do it
