No way to get a good answer to that question because what fits one person may not fit the next. Best thing you could do would be go to a bow shop that handles different brands and find the one that fits you best. There are no "bad" bows out there to my knowledge so it's just a matter of budget and personal preference. I'm a Mathews fan but like I said, you might not like them if you shoot one. Just find one you like and go hunting!

Bowslayer hit the nail on the head. You just gotta keep shooting bows til you narrow it down to the 2 or 3 you REALLY LIKE, then go back and seriously shoot those. I shot 13 bows it came down to my Destroyer 350 and a Z7. I just liked the speed, quietness, and no hand shock of the destroyer better. I was anal about it too...I had charts for each bow I shot, notes and the whole 9 yards. when you're gonna pay that kinda money though it pays to research well.

This is what I would do.

Find a shop that you can shoot a dual cam speed bow like the bowtech insanity, a very shootable dual cam like an elite and a single cam like Mathews/mission..

Redneck booda carries all three of those.

They dont make the destroyer anymore it was replaced by the insanity. They run anywhere from 900-1k bare, depending on where you get it.

They re-released the Destroyer( left over inventory is what most are saying). Price is still about $800.

Me?

I have two. My hunting bow is a '09 Hoyt Alphamax 32(one of the best bows I have ever shot). My target/hunting bow is a '12 Athens Exceed300.

TXTwister34, I live in Tyler also and would adivse you to check out On Target in Canton or Rednek Booda of Kearns for your new bow purchase. I use both and am pleased with the customer service of each.

Chital stop reccomending bows that you have never shot before since you dont know anything about how they are before, during, and after the shot.

No Texas Twister, trying to understand where he is coming from to make possible suggestions on where to go.
