I had a lease in Ozona and it was a pain in the azz and costly to keep the feeders running. This is what we did and it really cut down on our expenses.
I ran two feeders at each location. One would feed in the morning and the other in the evening. This would allow the corn to last twice as long and we didn’t need to travel to the lease that often to fill feeders.

Man I can't wait to get up there! Next week at this time I hope to be gutting a bruiser!
I have my dad putting out piles of corn where my camera is. He won't mess with the camera for me though....I will have to wait until after my morning hunt to check for pics. He said every time he brings corn there are lots of deer in the area. This info and the cold front has got me in RUT!

watching my internet cams my buck activity in the day picked up 10x last Thursday with that cold front, but has started trailing off now. another little front this Friday or so, but then warms up through the 1st week.

I've really only had one shooter this summer and he's not great great. A mature 140-150. I had a couple 120-130 young bucks and then the cold front brought in about 2-3 new ones. I'm trying to get my mom on that 140-150 in muzzleloader, but he doesn't show up often or in day. Hopefully some new mature bucks show up. We think they've been hanging out close to the bean fields next to my property. Several mature studs have been seen in the beans.

I have a permit for unit 14. Just going to be hunting public land this year. You gave me some pointers in a PM a while back. Im just going to wing it I guess because I have no clue about the area I am going to. Probably mostly scout this trip and have a better idea of what I will be dealing with when I go hunt 3 weeks during the rut.

I think maybe Herington or Cottonwood Falls. I am going to be hunting around Council Grove.
