Montague County, we had them coming in to sweet feed and corn for three nights before we set the trap. Put a bunch of corn in the center of the trap so they would not block the door. The trip wire and more corn were at the back of the trap so it would not trip right off. The trip wire was set about knee high to allow the shoats to get under and wait for the larger ones to set it off. We took the 5 largest ones to market and got $270 for a 205 lb, a 152lb and three @103lb. The rest we split up amongst four of us and filled a few freezers. The most we had ever caught at one time before was 5. It was a busy weekend.

impressive... we should have a contest on here. "Most Hogs Caught in One Trap. Have to have a legit pic for proof!
It would be interesting to see who has caught the most at one time... I know some folks make huge fenced in enclosures to catch hogs too.
learn something new everyday and you will have never wasted a day.

Thats an awesome catch! Some good pit sized hogs and a few for some cash in your pocket. Plus a little thinning on your hog population. Good job right there.

Nicely done! The only thing I would hate about that is having to do all that gutting and skinning. Those freezers will be stocked for awhile with all of those oinkers.

That's awesome. Sounds like conditioning the pigs first is key.

We might as well have an informal contest, which I'm not likely to win. I have one huge trap, but my personal record is 16 pigs at once. Am I in second place?
