When hog hunting are you concerned with scent control and if you are, what do you do now that warm weather is here and so are bugs, mosquitos, and knats. My hog hunting stands are close to my feeders (20-30 yds). Should I be concerned about scent control?

Mosquitos and biting insects are the only reason I;d stop hunting in the summers...
Does anyone else use these and do they really work?

I poured pig out in a bucket full of corn, and let it sit for about 2 weeks, then I poured it in the hole. I actually made a bad shot, he was facing away from me giving me only a butt shot. Then he turned his head, and I was trying to hit his neck. I hit a little to the right, and got some guts. But he didn't go far.

Yeap, off work. It is a rough life, sitting outside playing on the internet, shooting hogs and drinking beer. Oh that reminds me mine is almost empty.

I dont get myself all wrapped up with scent control while pig hunting. Just take the basic common sense precautions. On the thermacell... In my experience it only works while I'm in an enclosed area. While I'm on my bow stands it does nothing for me, wind or no wind. I still think its worth the $20 for the rare occasion when I do sit in a box blind or a pop up blind. -Coy

I used the thermacell in my ground blind and It worked like magic, I couldn't beleive it. I used it this past bow season in my tree stand and it worked for me there also. They are great.
