Reportedly poppin up around Columbus and I believe outside of Waco, I think I read as well. They say it's a good idea to avoid those areas until it peters out. Hunters in those areas should beware and probably skip early teal season altogether. The virus can be transmitted from dead bird to hunter by handling the carcass after retrieval. Infection with Teal Flu will cause a person to gain weight, sleep during hunts and snore excessively, shoot poorly, and will basically put them in a general state of loafin' for the rest of their lives.

It's real bad up by Sanger. I hear the new strain can be transmitted by inhalation so if an infected bird just flies in your vicinity you are subject to catching it.

Stay home just stay home...

I didn't say it, but that's about right now that I think about it. I guess they have become better shots since patterning their shotguns and all that other bit.

The CDFP, Center for Disease and Flu Prevention, is recommending hunters not hunt for Teal in Centex this September, but instead each weekend, go to your property and drive your 4x4's around all water bodies with teal to prevent them from landing. "Don't shoot them and don't let them land." Instead, try to flush them in the direction of Lampasas County where the CDFP, in conjunction with me of course, has set up a Vaccination Station. We'll take care of the rest.
