No one is saying that hogs won't attack or hurt you badly, but normally they're provoked. Chasing them through the woods with a pack of dogs yeah I've had them come at me several times. But I've never jumped a hog walking through the woods and had the bloodthirsty creatures run me down. LOL. One exception is sow with piglets. Doesn't matter what you're doing she's going to try and eat your A**!

i think this show is a joke and i really do believe that pigs are going to run away 99% of the time and .5% of that 1 left over they may be running your way. but it does happen.

hunting hog's with dogs gives alot of advantage to the hunter, most here can figure out advantages.. the negative is it can get hard on the dogs & whin a hog is trying to avoid the dogs it will run down any thing in it's way.. first time a hog bluff charged me it stepped out of thick stuff seen me, gave a bluff charge then some baby hogs stepped out with another hog, the one facing me bluff charged again, the others high tailed it out, an then so did the other.. second time, sent a round down range about 20 yrds other hogs took off running while the one spun around an tried ta take me boots off, did a side step.. have hunted em at night with pistal & small flash light turned off got with in range & never had one charge..

The show is entertaining, but that is all that it is when I don't have anything else to watch.

I love how they go out for hours at a time and maybe catch one pig. What a dent you're making in the population. Maybe I should call em up. I've got 6 mo old pups that could run circles around their dogs.

These people give white trash a bad name. Hunting hogs a horseback does wonders for getting that little girls gap goodies lubed up but little good for killing hogs. I take five pounds of corn and stick it under a big rock or two. I make several of these sets in an area about 40 yds. In diameter. A Deer can't get to it and the hogs will have to work at it. Ive had up to 30 hogs in an area this size. It accomplishes several things, It keeps their heads down rooting, makes a lot of noise as they fight amongst themselves for it and keeps their feeble little minds busy. I make these sets so my partner and I can get into shooting position with the wind in our faces. With a pre arranged signal we open up. We both shoot bennelli m4 with 8 shot tubes loaded with 3 inch 00 buckshot. We've got million power flood lamps duct taped to the barrels and when those lights come on the rodeo starts. The key is to get that ammo out of those guns as fast as possible completely covering the area. It is devastating.. Pigs and pieces of pigs flying everywhere. What's left in our ambush is either dazed wounded or dead. We finish of the wounded with high capacity handguns as fast as we can. It all takes place in a matter of seconds and they really never know what hit them. Our record is 24 hogs in 17 seconds. Granted that day there were 4 sows and the rest shoats but a kill is a kill. The vultures fed fine that week. we knocked off three boars later that week with thermals and that landowner had no hog problems for the next six months. Hill country style.

my personal record is 5 hogs in about 3 seconds with an Armalite AR10A2, aint got no pics, I know it happened and thats all that matters.
