lift, camo paint job, gun rack, deer rack, bigger tires. Thats what I would come up with

If I put my wife in a high fence will her rack get bigger?

Put a bench seat in the back with a hitch haul where your feet would be so people can sit and you can also carry game. Is it gas or electric?

Winch, Slime, tire plug kit and a small air compressor.

Great ideas!!! Any idea on the cheapest places to get racks, lift and tires?

Should I do anything to the motor or controller when I do the lift, so that its not bogged down or does this even matter?

It is a 99 Yamaha 48v Electric golf cart. Seems to run good, but batteries look old.

Thanks,

If the batteries are old, I'd start there. Replace them and the cables. While you have the old batteries out check the battery rack thoroughly. The battery acid eats them up. Replace if needed. Most are bolted into place. This will be you most expensive project. Trojan batteries are best but most expensive. Interstate batteries will work fine and are less expensive.

I like Jake's Lifts. Avoid the cheap spindle lifts. They're cheap for a reason...they don't last, don't hold up, and just don't work.

Tire/wheel combinations can get expensive. Just depends on how crazy you want to get.

Buggies Unlimited always came through for me. They always have what I need in stock and you can easily place orders on-line.

Here's some pics of mine. I did everything myself...lift, suspension/springs, shocks, wheels/tires, brakes, batteries, cables, battery rack, seat, new floor mat/pad, etc.

Thanks. Should I do anything with the controller? I just don't want to burn up the motor due to the lift.

Looking forward to working on this.

Here are a few photos of the one I built up for bow and turkey hunting. EZ-Go with 36 volt. Biggest issue I found was making sure I used a big enough control box and heavy enough wiring from the motor. Other wise they over heat and shut down.

That looks awesome! I'll make sure to get some photos as I progress even a few with one in the front seat! Lol...

I am going to start researching controllers.

Thanks,

A new controller is not always necessary but may improve performance once you add bigger tires. The upgraded battery cable kit will make a big improvement. Get a cable kit that includes motor cables too.

You'll also have to adjust the brakes once you lift it and add bigger tires.
