Was looking at that one. Does it last a fair amount of time? Looks like it uses 1lb canisters. Thanks!

been using Mr. Heater for years. Last hours on one can, and easy to change cans. Can't go wrong with these.

I like the Mr. Buddy too. And, you buy an adapter hose at Academy for about $10 and hook the heater on a big propane tank. Works great on blinds where you can leave the bottle outside and run a hose into the blind. Pretty much lasts all year that way.

Mr Buddy heater hands down. Unless space is very limited get the larger one with two tank capacity. You can just use one at a time and extend it's use or both if it's really cold.

I have a Coleman SportCat which works fine for me. Someday I will upgrade to the Mr. Buddy that everyone raves about, but for less than half the price I'm happy with the Coleman for now...we'll see this year how it does in my new box blind....I may be upgrading sooner rather than later if I can't stay warm.
I'd be a vegitarian too if bacon grew on trees.

Picked up some Coleman sportcats on clearance from Walmart a few years ago for $20. Hard to beat for the $$

Mr. Heater Portable Buddy is my choice. I've used it in the RV and the stand. The stand was 4x8x6'6" and it would get too warm, even when outside was in the 20's-30's. The Big Buddy is probably too much heater for a stand.
Do your homework and shop around. When I bought mine it was going for $100 at Cabelas and Academy. I ended up getting mine at Lowe's for $79. They vary widely on price.

How do you guys approach carbon monoxide concerns when using a heater in your stand. I use one mostly when hunting with my daughter and just leave a window partially open.

The Mr. Heaters have a low oxygen shut=off so CO is not a problem with their heaters.

So do any of yall use these in your camper for heat? I hate running a generator all night. Last year we burned up the breaker box in my camper running an electric heater all night.

I used mine in the camper several times over night. Even on the lowest setting it'll burn through 1.5 bottles of propane overnight. No issues with CO2 but the old camper was a bit drafty anyway. Camper was a "vintage" 21' Nomad and the heater kept it tolerable in there with temps outside in the teens (one night) and 20's on several other nights. If was only in the 30's-40's I'd only kick it on when I woke up to take the chill out of the air.

Chemistry was never one of my stronger subjects in school. Make sure you get the catalytic type and not the open flame type.

Make sure you get the catalytic type and not the open flame type. Again, with basic Chemistry never being one of my strong suits, please explain why this is so.

I've been very happy with Mr. Heater. I have a long hose connected to large propane tank just outside the box blind. Even found a camo cover for the tank.
