Great looking buck that will make a beautiful mount. Thanks for sharing your story and photo's. Axis make a beautiful wall pedestal mount. In the future if you have a clean shot with a .223 then I'd take it. A well placed round from a .223 with a quality bullet will kill an Axis everytime IMHO. There is nothing better than hunting with the kids, enjoy every minute because they will grow up and be gone before you know it.
