Where the problem is.....

If they have a pig problem the last thing they're gonna want is feeders to keep them around

a couple of days before you hunt dig a hole 4' deep with post hole diggers and fill the hole with corn... the pigs will stay around until all the corn is gone... Then you can shoot them in the "CORN HOLE"

Get you a 5 gallon bucket, get some hawg wild, mix the two together with some strawberry koolaide, let it set a day or so, and then pour it out.

I find that any changes in the field, including new baits, will likely spook most game for a couple of days. What terrain will you be hunting?

Don't waste your money on all the gimmicks. Plain corn works as good as any. If you shot one there the other day you should have baited it before you left. Don't be surprised if they don't come in again this soon. They may or may not. Once you start shooting into them they tend to leave for a while...

Yea I figured that I was hoping a new group would come in I don't think the amount of hogs I saw could do that much damage in 2 fields

If im baiting and hunting the same day, I try to always bait on the edge around 100yrds of a tree line or wooded area where I can approach the bait into the wind from the tree line.

I've tried a dozen different secret of special formulas and none work better than plain corn, but do cost more and are usually much more difficult to deal with.

I have two corn holes in my field right now that the pigs have never found. Corn holes don't attract pigs regardless of their supposed amazing sense of smell.

Watch the Pigman use some special attractant. He put it under one of his own feeders on his own property where he likes to hunt. He shot a pig there later in the program and attributed to the attractant. BS! The pig was going to come to the feeder anyway. The feeder was a stable source of food. That the Pigman added the attractant is meaningless in terms of vouching for effectiveness.

Several products will claim pigs come in within minutes of being put out and you will read testimonials to such. If that is the claim that the attractant works, then just take me hunting with you. I am an attractant. Several times in the last 2 years, hogs have appeared at the feeder within minutes of my arrival. So what do you think...was it me or just a coincidence that I arrived near the time the pigs were going to come in and raid the feeder?

Do you own tests. Find a nice open spot and make your jello corn, beer corn, sour corn, koolaid corn, sweetfeed corn, etc. or dig your corn hole and fill with corn and then see how long it takes for the first hogs to find it. Especially do this when you aren't already overrun with hogs.

Ive had the best luck with corn, diesel, and strawberry koolaid mixed because the diesel will repel the deer away and the pigs LOVE to roll around in it!

If you don't want deer to eat your pig corn, a little diesel will keep deer and sometimes squirrels and coons away.
The coons and squirrels will hit it after it sits in the sun for a day or two.

Straight corn works best for me, don't have to mess with anything, just pour it in, out or spread it and go - but everything eats it straight.

+1 on the corn and post-hole diggers. Keeps them around longer.

Also, I build a pig-pipe recently. I'll post some results after I try it out.

there seems to be some truth to the hogs following coons around. the only reason i say this is because of game cam pics showing coons coming to my feeder and hogs showing up about ten to twenty minutes later on the same trail

Put out corn then sprinkle it with strawberry koolaid powder. You can smell the koolaid powder for a couple hundred yards and its very inexpensive.
