Glad you still have yalls eye balls. Guy I use to lease from lost his eye in a accident just like that. It was an older man who shot us. I think his eyesight wasnt that good. He was very apologetic and he even had a first aid kit with him. Sounds like he has done this before then.  Glad yall are OK for the most part.  lol glad you are both ok

This, even by myself I wear tinted safety glasses. Hopefully you and your dad are OK You are blessed like you said to have your eyesight. Glasses make sense now that its after the fact. The bad part is I had safety glasses on 5 minutes before. I had taken them off because they were tinted and the sun was going down. I'll never dove hunt again without safety glasses!!!
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

You'd be surprised how well they work in the bright daylight and you can wear them till sundown.

I would definatly have my eye checked by doc if they think its behind his eye, good friend of mine lost an eye bc he got metal behind his and never felt it and he went blind in that eye without ever having any pain!

That is just not cool. The guy that shot you should be banned from hunting for life. My Dad got shot a couple years ago while Pheasant hunting and it went through his ear lobe.

Hate to see this any time. You are really lucky. I have a pair of shot in my back, and my friend has one in his cheek on his gum line from the same shot about 24 years ago. Brother was shooting into the water on a pond as a kid. I have always heard not to do that, and I guess it is true. It skipped off the water and across the pond hitting us. Funny part of this story is my friends showed up unnkowingly about 15 years later during a dental x-ray. It happens, but it is one of those things that really shouldnt.

holy crap. my daughter asked me if we needed our safety glasses this weekend and i told her nah.... what a DA i was. we got peppered once. glasses will be worn at all times in the field shooting now. that is so close. glad to know you weren't seriously injured.

about 12 years ago i was was 16 and my little brother was 12. i was walking in front of him about 50 yards. He triped and shot his gun. three pellets hit me in the back of my leg. picked em out with tweezers.

Same thing happened to me last year ! Had to dig bb's out of my face inches from my eyes . Not cool. I was about 50-60 yards out

I hunted for about an hour saturday morning and gave up because there were just too many people with no sense where I was hunting. Some guys drove up and parked behind me where I was sitting...no biggie...until they got out of their car and I heard one of them say "I need to shoot to see if this thing is loaded" I immediately stood up so they could see me and wouldn't shoot me...right about hte time the guy shot down the road.
The good thing about dove hunting is it is kinda low key and a good intro for new hunters. The bad thing about dove hunting is that opening day brings out every idiot with a 12 ga.
