Hate to hear about that. It happens to me more often than most. No matter how much training and vaccine, if the dog is doing what he/she is bred to do and get hit in the wrong spot, it is a bad deal.
Adios,
Gary

So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost a lab during early teal season last year. It is hard to get over, but just remember all of the joy you had when they were around.

Sorry to hear that. I put my 15 year old Black Lab (Duke) down 3 months ago. Now my 13 year old (Gus) is not doing good. He went downhill after his bud did not come home. Hate to hear, being that young. Even though my guy's have not hunted in years, I have great memories of some fantastic hunts. They were great friends.

Guys, I ran a pack of hounds all over the Hill Country and parts
of So. Texas for yrs. and hunted competition w/ a lot of others
who did also..We all carried a Cortizone shot from the vet..it
was cheap and didn't require ref...ect..and would get you to the
vet in case of a problem..Check into it w/your vet...if he's a
Country Vet..not a pet vet...DD

Colton, I have not been on here much lately due to spending too much time working. Sorry to hear about your loss! That really sucks. Take care.

That sucks man. My Dad had a dog bit in the neck by a cotton mouth. It lived but for about 4 months and it lived. Luck of the draw.
