Hey everyone,
I have great news, my best friend, who I've known forever, finally wants to come out to Texas for a visit. I haven't seen him since I joined the army back in 04. Anyways so he called me up about this place. The link is hoghuntinghoghunting.com has anyone hunted there? I live in central Texas so I saw on another post about 4 pines being really good. Is there maybe any other places anyone would recommend? We want to do a spot and stalk and maybe an unguided hunt. But I do admit unlimited hogs at 4 pines sounds good but is there anywhere else good?

YES... DO NOT GO THERE. PERIOD.

many posts on here about that guy and that place. it's went by like 10 different names. completely canned hunt. i "won" a hunt there for 3 days. left after 1 day. completely UNSAFE. 12 people hunting 220 acres. they advertise much bigger, but it's a caged hunt inside a larger property.

take my advice. steer clear!

I remember reading many posts about that scumbag. Never hunted there, and thanks to the THF I will never waste my money with him. There are lots of reputable guides on here that can hook you guys up. Thanks for your service, and best of luck

DBhunting ranch is close by. they can do spot and stalk for hogs and other animals and will show you a good time.
if you want to go archery, i hear the Granger WMA is fun for a challenging archery pig hunt

Stuff my dad said in the deer blind

"I can dive deeper and come up drier"
"did you do that?"

Thanks guys, I knew it looked familiar from the posts here
I'll make sure I let my friend know. I been to db hunting ranch one time it was a real nice place, but was thinking of trying someplace a little different. Does anyone know about 4 pines? Or any others?

Thank You. I'm not exactly sure. It's one of my guides camera's but it does have a "night shot" option. If you're really intersted I can ask him and let you know. Just pm me.

4 pines is a pretty good place. Been there twice and seen hogs each time. He is setup more for blind hunting but he sometimes does some stalking (depends on the time of the year).

i have hunted 4 pines. it is a feeder set up for the most part. cuz showed us around and we pulled game cam cards while we drove around. lots of critters there even had a young buck with a drop tine. we had a heck of a rain storm blow in and pretty much runied our weekend. didnt see a pig but heard them at night and saw tons of sign. i blame our bad luck on the storm. camp house isnt too bad either.

not a bad place. i would go back.

The Diamond C has a 100 acre pig pen that's fun to spot and stalk in. Thick cover makes it real challenging but the amount of pigs he has makes it possible to get shots.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

Thanks everyone for your ideas. Sorry, haven't been on in a while. 4 pines sounds great and definitely have some follow up spots that sounds really good too.
