I would like to know what chokes and what shot you use when hunting dove?

IC and 8 shot for me.

Mod is an all around good choke and 7 1/2 or 8 shot works just fine.

modified choke with 7 1/2 shot is a good start. Then depending on the distance they are flying at adjust to full choke and find the sweet spot.

If im hunting on a good field, good shot distance I will shoot and IPC and 8's. If it is a little longer range I will usualy go mod or full and 6's.

As far as shot goes I just use 7 1/2 or 8

Side by side. Improved/Modified. 6-8 shot depending on how they fly.

Thanks guys, I have been hunting dove for 15 years and I have always used a gun that was handed down. It had a fixed choke not sure what choke it was the gun is at least 20 years old. I have since retired the gun to the safe and purchased a citori.

IC early, Mod late - I use the cheapest shells I can find and then reload with a little better shot load. 7 1/2 shot is preferred, but I use 8 shot all the time.

I start with an IC and 7 1/2, but willput in a modified tube if the birds are flying a little high
