I just remembered my favorite 20 year old vasque boots lost their soles last season. I am going to need a lot of duct tape or new boots. Probably should just get snake boots since i press my luck every year.

Shotgun plug

LOL I got to the field one day and realized I didn't have my plug in my Ithaca 37. I snapped off large twig and trimmed it to the right length. Worked just fine.
When I was a kid I used the same gun for deer and removed the plug, this was NC and shotgun only then, and forgot to put it back. Went dove hunting with my dad and he carried the Ithaca. We're out having a fine old time when the GW shows up. He checks licenses and then asks my dad to let him check for his plug. You should have seen the look on my dad's face when the 3rd shell went in the mag just fine thank you. My dad would NEVER dream of breaking a hunting law. Luckily the GW was a friend of my dad's and knew he didn't do it intentionally. My dad did the twig trim trick on the spot and the GW let us continue on. Boy, I thought my arse was going to get a tanning when we got home... Still makes me laugh.

I think my 1941 Browning A-5 has a twig in it now.

Anybody lost the wing screws, and found a good in the field replacement?

Yes and have had the hex nut come out. Used duct tape before, tilt to one side, stick some vegetation in it to make it a tight fit. All kinds of fixes.

My best fix was when I lost the pole. The mojo fits perfectly into the mouth of a water bottle. I pulled out half a turkey decoy stake and poked it through the bottom of the bottle and duct taped it and the bottle with camo. Stake sticks in the ground. Put the mojo into the mouth of the bottle. Been using that mojo for a couple years now. I have a high one and low one landing now.
