For several years all we have had for shade/rain cover in front of our tent and now trailer was a tarp covered canopy frame and for years we have been replacing the tarp, ball bungies, bent conduit a couple times a year. So we decided to resolve that problem. Spent the last couple of weekends building a sturdier shade structure. The old canopy.  The new awning.

Looks great, You ought to go ahead and extend it over the trailer. You will not believe the difference covering your trailer will make in the summer.

Thanks for the complements guys.
Chuck, we thought about extending it on over the trailer but that would have doubled the cost and labor. We go to the lease to be outside as much as possible. We have a window unit that cools it down pretty good if we do have to spend some time inside during the day. For the most part though the trailer is a place to sleep and store our food and hunting gear.

Nice! Not a bad walk to your stand either- 'bout 10 feet maybe? We used to have another hunter so we inherited an extra blind. The left side we use for storage but we can still hunt from the right side. We have a hog tube about 60 yes in front of that blind.

I just think its funny that u take a picture and your not sitting under it. but nice work! I tried to take a picture while I was sitting under it but my arms were not long enough to get me and the awning in the picture.  It was late evening and we were sitting where the shade from the awning was.
