took it out a few days ago for initial sight in and break in per the Cooper manual, shoot 5, clean, repeat tried factory loads (all 100g), all under an inch 100g Etip load from Nosler was .5 got it sighted in with those with a 250 yard zero Will get back out this week and run some more through it before starting on any handloads.. like to get out to the lease to nail a coyote or hog soon! details and more pictures: http://tacticalgunreview.com/blog/2012/08/staff-sneak-peak-cooper-firearms-custom-25-06/

Sounds good sofar. But it is about what to expect from a Cooper. Good accuracy with about any load and very good with what they like.
Any Initial thoughts comparing the Cooper to the Nosler?

hmm that's a tough one the Nosler is more "modern", synthetic stock, cerakote finish.. etc..
Both are light but the Cooper is a tad lighter. Both have very nice triggers. Both fit well and handle well.
The Cooper has a more refined stock feel, it just feels like it was hand shaped until it just melts into your hands.
To be honest, I had spoken with Cooper about this well over a year ago and ended up buying the Nosler as I was so impressed with the caliber and the rifle.
I had actually cancelled this build but Mike told me he was going to go ahead and build it anyways and it would be ready when I was...
Got a phone call out of the blue and said it was ready. crap, cool, but I just went through a layoff at work, NOT ideal timing.. it's on long term T&E and I am sure I will pony up for it as able.

Know what you are talking about on the layoff at work thing. Got hit this year after living the layoff working world for 12 years. It has slowed my purchases down a lot.
Thanks for comparing the 2 for us. Love the look and feel of blued steel and walnut on a fine firearm. Somehow it just feels more like a good hunting tool.
