New to Austin and I have no hunting access anywhere; do you guys know what its like around Austin?
Any places to hunt where you could get access and desent numbers after the opening weekend calms down?

You need to talk to someone who's on a dove lease around here and see if you can get on. It's hard to do this late because owners want it filled and filed before start of season.

Check craigslist. Saw a few spots on some day leases yesterday.

you can do the public lands lease and hunt granger and private leased lands cost you 48 bucks for the season.
