I built a pen next to my ibex for these 5 urial hybrids. one is 7/8 urial the others are 1/4 or 1/2. They're young but already big!

Nice sheep. How can hybrids be entered in the record books?

Nice looking sheep you got Aaron. Where did you get them if you don't mind me asking?

Nice sheep. How can hybrids be entered in the record books? There are spots for hybrids I think. I'm not 100% sure but I thought the red sheep is a natural hybrid to begin with anyway. It just wasn't man that put them in a pen on purpose to make them that way. They naturally crossed I think. I think all those sheep like Black Hawaiian and Texas Dall are just black and white corsicans and may be a hybrid of something. Im no sheep expert but maybe someone else "in the know" can help out on that. I know Ricky Hunt wrote book on mouflon and I thought he used to raise mouflon and red sheep. Maybe he will chime in here because I know he gets on the forum now and then.

This is what he can expect to have in a few years. This one was 50% TransCaspian Urial and 50% Texas Dall. They are a big bodied animal, so the horns don't look as big as they really are. This ram is 2 1/2 years old and measured 36 1/2 inches long. He also had 11 1/2 inch bases.
