For those who have tried them, any feed back? Good, bad, or otherwise?

Also, while there are several retailers of the clothing line here in DFW, does anyone know of a retailer who caries the boots?

I have a pair of Drake rubber boots and they've worked just fine. They're not the best, but not the worst. I haven't put them through any grueling conditions, but I could see them wearing down quickly if you're tough on your gear.

From personal experience their wader pants and jackets are good quality and function. From what I've heard about their waders they are not that great but we can see they are very expensive. If Cluck is correct about them being just ok then I would pass as they are fairly expensive. I bought a pair of Academy game winner (I think was the brand) mud boots about 4 years ago for like $30...they have worked well and are still going strong. I'll have to probably get another pair in a couple years so this thread and the comments will be interesting to me if people comment on the mud boots they currently have.

Muck boots (I think that's the brand) are great!

Lacrosse Neoprene upper, best most comfortable boot I own, second is the Muck Neoprene upper.

Easy to tuck pants in and doesn't bite around the ankle, I refuse to own anything Drake, too much of the crap doesn't last or doesn't keep me warm. Sitka, Under Armor or Mack's Windtamer for me.

I love my lacrosse alpha burly sports I've had since 06. Tell me another rubber boot that is still kicking after 6 years of punishment.

OMG, this is the best slumber party ever!

I'd expect any mud boot to last me at least that long. Honestly I might only wear them a dozen times a season...most of the time I'm in waders. Going with the mud boots is a pleasure I don't often get.

I actually had a pair of the Irish Setters that lasted since 2002 and loved them. At least until the sole came unglued and simply fell off. Not a big deal unless your a long way from the truck and have only one good boot but I digress...... Long story short, not very happy with the response I got from the company. "They lasted far longer then most boots, sounds like you are past due for another pair". Really??? No offer to refund, replace, or even repair.....

Never tried Lacrosse (look heavy) or Muck (look weird w/so much neoprene)...... May need to look at both closer.

The alpha burlys are super light. I turkey hunt in them also. Marcstar... its not necessarily a luxury to hunt in them. Most of the time my spots have had no rainfall so I'm hunting in less than a foot of water. Kind of depressing actually ...lol
