Where have you seen a good price on deer corn ? In Lubbock we are paying $5.99 for 40 lbs. and $7.99 for 50 lbs. Where is the cheaper corn ?

Good deal. I wonder if we could get enough of us together up here on the cap to go together and buy a large enough quantity at one of these feed stores to make it worth their time and lower the price. Especially in September. The Shopping Basket in Ballinger had corn for 5.75 for 50lbs. in October and November. I know there is a good buy out there somewhere. We would buy 3 tons ourselves.

corn prices will be on the way down shortly!!! Congress has maybe come to their senses about the ethenol situation, they are looking at the reasoning of burning up a food source in an automobile.

I'm down in Brownwood right now and was talking to a man earlier this evening at dinner. He said a small tornado touched down last night and went right through, if memory serves me correct, about 10,000 bushels of corn.

Right around $7 most places...prices have gone up steadily that past several weeks. Get some barrels and buy it bulk if you want to save$$$.

With a lot of the northerners switching to corn fueled stoves this corn may go higher. I read somewhere that if the heating oil remains as high as it is now, the sale of wood stoves and corn stoves would could triple in the fall.

Where in Coleman did you get that corn. We have a cabin at lake coleman and will be there in 2 weeks. I would like to buy a ton over the phone and pick it up then.

I bought some at J&L in Cross Plains a couple of weekends ago. It was $6.75/50#. They told me that their COST was going up to $6.50/50#, so expect the price to continue to rise.

Paul, where did you get that corn in Coleman? Was it at the little feed store down the FM that is beside the Quick Stop?

$7.50 for a 50lb bag at ACCO in Abilene today. OUCH, Thats going to leave a mark.
Does anyone use the Golden Nuggets or Record Rack Protein pellets? GN's are now $11.25 a 50lb bag. The deer may have to start looking elsewhere for food.
