I can tell since they have to really work to eat anything they get from that feeder.
Keeps the cost down Guess if they had straws they could get some feed out.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Keeps the ground beneath the feeder from getting rutted and holding water all the time. Also keeps the hogs from rooting it deeper. Effort and cost isn't that much That was what I thought, but on my ranch it would have to be made up with sack crete and carried in water so the effort is quite high. I've got a good rock bed though in my area so I don't get holes under any of my feeders. Oh, and no hogs inside my fence. Thanks for the answer Tim Most of these are pretty accessible and they poured in place and transported to the spot. Not poured in place.

Not my call. I am sure that 4" would have turned that buck into a 160" deer at 2.5 though damn the luck

Not my call. I am sure that 4" would have turned that buck into a 160" deer at 2.5 though damn the luck You can't feed genetics out of a sack but you can feed to a deer's potential from that same sack.

What are those deer eating? They would be much bigger if they could eat from that feeder. Oak leaves Is that red oak, white oak or live oak?
