It's pretty obvious in a tree stand but I hunt from a popup blind for bow season and a box blind for gun season. I've used everything from a bucket to an office chair to bag chairs to folding chairs.... each has its pros and cons.
What have you found that works best for you in either a box blind or popup blind?
I'd be a vegitarian too if bacon grew on trees.

I use a simple folding chair with no arms so I can draw corner to corner in the pop blind while bow hunting if I'm on the ground. The gun blind I have a nice cushy office style chair.

for bow? those backless chairs with the triangular seats are the best, but it sure sucks for a long sit. Last year I took a regular fold up blind chair (the ones that slide into a tube-bag), cut the back off and cut the right back support off as well as the right arm rest and support. I could still use the left back support for, well, back support, and the left armrest for my spit cup. Still not as easy to shoot from as the triangle stool, but it was a compromise of comfort and shootability.

a boat cushion (or two)lets you sit up higher and transition up and out of the seat easier and quieter if you need to or just lets you sit higher for a sitting shot or whatever presents itself

I use the plastic resin chairs in my deer stands. No squeaking or metal banging noises. Light to move around, back rest and arm rest. Kind of comfortable.

Something with a back but the less of a slouch has worked best for me! But there's nothing like the recliner after you get out of the stand

Had cheap folding chair at the old lease in a box blind. Also had an old metal office chair in a pop-up. New lease have two swiveling office chairs in the double box blind, that metal office chair in the single box blind.
Don't take life so seriously, you'll never make it out alive!

squeeeeeeeeek ! ! ! ! !
(that only happens when i spot something- you can't get it to squeek otherwise if you threw it out the back of a truck on the interstate)

What if you aren't hunting from a blind....just a cushion on the ground or does anyone carry a chair or bucket out there every day?

I like the office chair for me in the double blind but a bag chair or folding chair for the kids since I can fold it up when hunting alone or when they want to lay down for a nap on the floor.
Good answers though...keep them coming.
I'd be a vegitarian too if bacon grew on trees.

A small foldable swivel chair with no arms when hunting in a ground blind. I don't hunt out of nice box/tower blinds. I like being close enough to smell their breath.

I've recently added a new base instead of bucket for shorter shooters. Pipe that slides inside the other and 2 big set screws to set it at what ever height I need. I battled all last year getting a chair to put my then 9 year old son at the right height to make a comfortable shot.
