I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

I wear them for a living doing environmental work. LaCrosse - Grange are the most comfortable I have worn. They last a while also. I usually do nothing but walk and climb over and through brush and fences.

I hunted most of my life in Louisiana in the lowlands near the Mississippi River. Seems it was always wet and muddy. Lacross was what I wore and what most everyone I knew used to hunt in. They will last for many years. Some of the guys got the camo version of the boots, but I figured that since the whole boot was covered in mud most of the time, that was camo enough. And, if you get the right size for your foot, the boots won't come off even in that wet sucking gumbo mud.
Since I moved to Texas, I parked the Lacross boots in the barn and I hunt in leather work boots.

I grewup in Mississippi and hunted swamps there a lot, that is where the Lacross see the most action. Started wearing then in 1982 and haven't been without a pair since

I'm a fan of Lacrosse as well. Had a pair of Alpha's for turkey hunting that were awesome. Very light too. I believe they were the 5mm's.

you should bought a boot jack too!!!!
wait 'till you get 'em muddy-slick on the outside and sweaty on the inside and you're wore out from the day's hunt.
you'll understand why i say that.

The only reason I'm getting them is because I'm going hunting in Montana with a guide. He said it's required gear. I personally hate rubber boots and the reason why is because you can't get them off.

Schnee's makes a very good pack boot. Rubber bottoms with leather uppers. They are in Bozemon Montana in the main drag through downtown for their store location and also do mail order. Those are what a lot of the guides in Montana wear.

Either lacrosse or much. Wear your pants outside the boot, it will give a little extra protection so you don't puncture the boot on the leg portion. I had muck that I destroyed on my first night using them, when I got my free replacement the very next day I wore my pants outside them and I still have them years later.

These are out of my price range. They have leather linings.
