38 yards on a spike, 48 yards on a cow elk, and closest was straight down out of a treestand about 25 ft up.
I was using a rage broadhead on the elk and got penetration through both sides but not a complete pass through.

45 yards on a spike. First and only shot with a bow. On public land at Lake Whitney. Hunting on the ground. He made it twenty yards and crashed.

54yds on a 10pt trailing a doe, he stopped and started up again with arrow in flight...it was a long tracking job.

127 yards seriously? How can you with the naked eye even see the kill zone at 127 yards? That is a tough shot with open sites on a rifle.

It's doable, just a lot of stuff can happen while that arrow's traveling.

longest for me on deer so far is about 25 yrds. I don't like longer shots that much. Practice to 40 just in case, but like around 30. Did shoot a pig at 43, but it was a pig and my first bow kill at the time.

first bow kill was 37 yds on a 75lb pig longest shot for me so far

45 yards on a giant buck, 30 yards with a long bow on a running rabbit, and about 35 yards on a flying dove. I did have a doe stick her nose in my Double Bull blind, I could have simply stuck her with an arrow without the bow..

They set up a ballon at 200 yards every year at a LSBA shoot. It's very rare to be popped at over 80 yards.

Only deer killed with a bow was at 20 yards. Found her floating in the middle of a nasty ol pond. Swam out in boxers to get her in the dark. Kinda creepy. Sure hope the next one goes smoother.

I am not a world class archer, but 12" groups at 80 or even 90 yards is pretty doable...

Never said the balloon was 12". Must not have been there.

About 40 yards in an area I had sighted in otherwise I wouldn't have taken that shot either. I won't normally shoot beyond 30 - 35 yards. Doe. I've killed pigs out further, never ranged them.

4" shoot & see (orange) target used to get put on the 10/12 ring for $ shots....there were some guys who were money out at 120 @ the LSBA shoots. Recall 1 having the name of Gomez.

I'm sure they may have. Ron, Brad, and Tommy, set these hunts up ( hunt committee, & officials). Said it was rare was all, balloon was heart size. I took the money once, at 90+. BTW, since folks are talkin' Smack, how much game runs off mortally wounded, from people taking these unethical shots, before they get one?
