this is going to sound funny but how would you keep deer out of a feeder that you set up for hogs ? we put a feeder out for hogs and the dam deer wont leave it alone. im just wondering what type of pen,fence to use . we dont realy care about deer hunting. need some ideas.

High fence pen around it and make little trap doors for the hogs. Or you could get a bunch of hair from the local barber and put that all the way around the feeder. Or the stuff havahart make that you spray to repell deer.

use dry dog food for a while

Soak your corn in diesel fuel for about 4 days. When its foul smelling and so rank you cant stand it, throw it on your feeder area.

Or, stop using corn and start using rotted veggies, roots, fruit etc.

Im also gonna guess that Boar Piss would help too. . . potentially, I dont know. Im trying to use the opposite mind set I typically use (how to keep hogs out).

I could always post up during deer season and take care of some of those pesky deer for you. Lol

Take fence panels and raise them about 2 feet off the ground

Not sure that would work since most deer would rather crawl under a fence than go over

Put a tall fence around the feeder and leave a couple of openings. Pile thorny brush in front of the openings. The hogs will push through it, but deer tend to avoid it.

Heard it works on traps, so in theory it should work on a pen
