I was wondering if cows will tear up a pop up blind bc I am bow hunting on a place that does not allow elevated blinds so all I can use would either be a pop-up or fixed box blind. I need some ideas on how I can setup a pop-up blind so that the cows will not bother it.

you'll either have to put a 5 strand barbed-wire fence around it, or electric wire and a charger. cows will rub on anything that sits still long enough.

Yes cows will tear up a bow blind, I have had it happen to me. Suggestion If you put up a bow blind try and put it in some very thick brush so the cows cant trample over it dont put it out in the open.

I will be putting the blind up against the brush line with only the front exposed out facing the feeder. I would just hate to setup a $300 blind to have them tear it up in just a few days

Depends on the cows, had one that I used for 3 turkey seaaons the cows never bothered it. Those cows were sold and replaced with some others, not only did the new ones tear up wood deer stand but a feeder along with it.

they will stomp it, poo on it and laugh as they leave to go knock over your feeder.

they will stomp it, poo on it and laugh as they leave to go knock over your feeder. This is what they do. Lol. Our cows will smell and lick anything and everything you touch if left out in the field. Once, I leaned a fishing pole on our pier and walked off for about 10 minutes and one walked out on the pier, nocked the rod over and stepped on it. Lol. Blinds, feeders, buckets, bags, trucks, 4 wheelers, fence posts, ect, ect. All get the same treatment. A smell and a lick. I hate them! But they taste so good. Lol. Good luck.

Since it sounds like a pop-up is out of the question what else would be a good and reliable blind to bow hunt from?

Build a ground blind outta mesquite limbs, keep it freshen up thru the season with fresh trimmings. Worked out great for me, and yes I lost two pop ups to the bovine posse.

You could set up your pop-up and brush it in where you can take it down after every hunt. Little more work though. It takes more than one would think to build a natural blind that keeps you concealed yet allows you to shoot a bow from. It can be done but its give and take.

I have used brush blinds with great success, and actually prefer them because I know more of what's going on around me. Of course, you need an area of thick brush where you want to hunt. Adding a mess of unnatural-looking brush in more open habitats will just spook deer. In the Hill Country, you can't beat clusters of ashe juniper. In South Texas, granjeno works very well. East of I35, either eastern red cedar or yaupon works great. Of course, other species will work as long as it's pretty thick.

Thanks for all the advice guys...I think I'm gonna build a brush blind out of a cattle panel and bend it into a U shape. Then cut out some of the metal squares so I can have a clear opening to shoot from without taking the chance of the arrow hitting the panel. Then I'm gonna brush in the sides and put either a metal or treated plywood roof then cover with brush. What do y'all think about that idea?

If your gonna use cattle panels, then why not place 2 of them in a circle around your popup and cut the panel where your shooting lanes are?

should be ok
i've used some of that military netting on one in the front so it can be adjusted for a clean shot (tighten it up-give more slack to open or close the opening)

Wind can be worse than cows on demolishing the hub-style ground blinds.

The cows on the land I hunt on just stood next to me mooing. Giving up any hiding I was trying to do! needless to say, I took it down and went back to my tower blind
