There are indeed some big bucks in different pockets of the Texas Panhandle. I guess that is what I like the most about hunting up here. Some of the best spots to hunt in the Panhandle would be worthless and unfavorable to someone who isn't from around here and even some who have grown up here and just don't realize what roams around these parts. Most of the biggest bucks I've ever seen up here were miles away from any tree tall enough to hang a bowstand.

I love that area of the Canadian...It's very historic. Alibates flint monument is cool. Boulders of flint as big as a car.

There are no deer in the Panhandle. Only pronghorn and jackrabbits.....

You folks evidently have had more rain than us..looks like the Desert or worse here..if any grass ect at all it's burned up.. and deer are fair to poor..fawns still have spots..and most all bucks are in velvet..I have seen many long spikes this yr..all n all not too good of a forecast..DD
