The only advice I could offer is to have the seller meet you somewhere that sells crossbows and have it looked over/inspected before handing over any money. Thats what I suggest to all that are looking to buy a pre-owned bow.

But I would be really careful and BE SURE to look at the cost you are wanting to pay for a used one vs. the cost of a new one.

YOU PROBABLY SHOULD WAIT TILL
ABOUT FEBRUARY WHEN EVERYONE
TRIES TO GET RID OF THEIR
EXCESS HUNTING GEAR AND GET
A NEW "OLD" MODEL.

I'VE ONLY BOUGHT ONE USED BOW
THAT WAS OK AND LOOKED BRAND
NEW AND WAS ONLY 24.00,SO I FIGURED
I WOULD RISK IT. BOUGHT A USED
RECURVE A LONG WHILE BACK THAT
CRACKED WHEN I STRUNG IT.LIKELY
HAD BEEN DRY-FIRED
