Looks like an extreme case of piebald to me. I've seen only one piebald deer in my lifetime and it only had a large patch or two of white. Don't know enough about piebalds to even try to make a call on this one.

I have seen this color phase twice in the same herd of deer. The first one was a doe fawn born with a twin sister to a normal colored doe. The doe was killed that year during the season by a hunter. The twins grew and the white colored doe fawn bred the next season. I found her dead the next summer trying to give birth. Two years later another white color phase fawn showed up. I remembered the older doe had a twin sister. So I am guessing the twin gave birth to the same color phase genetics. This does fawn could reproduce the same color phase. I only saw the first white color phase fawn about 5 times in her lifetime and got pics on 2 sightings. The other white color phase fawn I only saw 4 times and never got a pic of her. Here is the first color phase fawn with the twin sister. One more pics of her with the twin and the doe along with another spotted fawn.

One time just before dawn I saw something white at the feeder. It was still too dark to tell what it was. I turned to my son and asked him to glass the feeder and tell me what he sees. He said he saw the same white object. We called it the ghost deer. Although we could not confirm that it was in fact a white deer, because the feeder went off before the sun came up and it ran off.
Where was this at?

There was another post with pics on that this past year. I noticed it cuz we had a deer like that in our neighborhood as well. I think the concensus was a condition opposite of a melanistic (dark) deer. I think they called it leucanistic or something like that??? Our local white deer seems to have died, but no hunting here. Don't think they are quite as 'tough' as other deer.

I get white deer every night at my feeder and color ones during the day!
I'd be a vegitarian too if bacon grew on trees.

What ever genetic trait gives the females that color might actually be carried by a buck(s) in the herd but only shows up physically in the females. Genetics are funny that way.
