When we drilled the well at our place. We thought it would be a good idea to put up some game cameras to keep a eye on them, when we were not there. No two legged attackers but that does not mean there were not any visitors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MV2PJLL2rI

Thxs. Not really a big buck, but it is nice to be sitting in your campsite and see herds of Axis deer wondering around. I spend at least 6 months out of the year at the place. So they get used to me and the dog and walk right into camp to eat and drink. Our rule is to never shoot them off the water around the campsite. Being in West Texas water is king. The only water for about 4 miles is in my front yard. LOL I have said for years "Rather would have 30 acres with water, than 300 without" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qs21I8bp90Awww.singlestackranch.com

thxs everyone..........We love our place for sure, and feel very lucky to have it. Nothing like being 45 miles in any direction to the closest town.
We have been out there now over 7 years and in the last few years the Axis population has grown considerably..
