I live in west tx(gaines county) and currently have mule deer on my winter wheat which will be plowed up for a cotton crop in may, I plan on setting a water tank very soon are there any other things I can do for the Nov. hunt, such as leaving out hay (peanut or alfalfa) or even a feeder. I do know that sometimes they do respond to a corn feeder and other times the run right on by. any ideas would be helpful. thanks

Can you plant strips of wheat in it and plant wheat on the outside edges in Aug/Sept? Guess that take away from the cotton but that is how my buddies relatives raise their cotton and still keep the muleys around.

Additional food plots will bring them in big time & keep them around.
