This was the first bird chance shot this yr all on his own and he helped put it together.
Blow drying.


Stitching the one pellet hole in the entire bird. I think that 3/4 oz 410 steel has 3 pellets in it.


Turned out a great bird.


He wanted it to have a Mohawk but I nixed that.



It's fun to reflect on the hunts when I'm doing these birds. My friend from WA was in and one thing he wanted was a "storm wigeon". We had a good number of birds and decided chance was shooting all by himself. As the bird lit everyone could see the white head, pop and it was dead. Brad said holy smokes your son just shot a storm. He was excited but I could tell he was bummed out.



Little did he know that the next days spot had was holding a big flock with 3-4 snow white birds. We took our time and picked the "good" ones and brad left with what he wanted.
