 8 + year old buck

 This buck was most likely never a monster, but was definitely bigger at one time. He was in his prime several years before I took him out. Any deer that is this old is a trophy no matter the horn size. Just smarter than your average. He did the same as most of the big deer I have come in contact with. He skirted the brush line around the feeder picking up does. One hot doe got him out long enough to get a shot. Like I said, not the huge buck, but double eye guards and some good trash. Extremely heavy horned, and a really nice old gray face. It was hard to get a good age on this one but he is definitely 8+. By the way, this is my daughter two years ago. She killed her first deer at age 6. Ill post some pics of it later...

Very nice deer, age makes him a true trophy plus he still has impressive head gear. Book or not he definitely qualifies as trophy.
