As with everyone else in Texas I have a hog problem. They eat everything and destroy the rest.

Between me and a couple close friends we have close to 500 acres in the Edwards county escarpment area.

My question is: I would love to get a few of these duds taken out. I am not a professional guide or service, but is it unheard of to try and sell some hog hunts at a limited price? More so to just get a buck or two back to put to the feed bill that these beasts eat.

Thanks, To be honest that is one big hog in the 200lb+ class. Not all the hogs are this big though.

At least I figured out how to post the pics. When in doubt read the instructions.

Guess what I am trying to say is. I would love to get some folks to hunt the hogs night or day. I dont want to hype our ranch with BS over statements, but dont want to sell it short either.
I am not a guide or hunting outfitter in anyway, not to put down guides or hunting outfiters. Im just not one is all.

Would really be interested in trying to help out folks with kids that have not had a chance to do any hunting. Doing it such a way that is aforable to them and worthwhile for me. For me there is nothihng more special than seeing the look on the eye of a youngen after they pull that trigger.

Miltary folks get a special nood with us to. Since my wife is a retired E-8 from the Air Force. They deserve every break they can get.

Everything is freeranging out here, no high fences.

I'm familiar with letting outsiders in for management hog hunts, so just as a heads up.

If you let hog hunters in, better let them know up front that the axis are off limits, unless you don't mind if they take that big buck. It would be kind of hard to tell them afterward, and then they say, "I didn't know, I thought you can shoot axis anytime of the year! I saw that big buck and just couldn't help myself!"

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Thxs for that info and you are so right. The Axis will be off limits for the time being until things get figured out for sure. I want that meat in my freezer first for sure. LOL

Wanted to say thanks to everybody for the info here and through some PMs. Have taken it all to heart and have started to do the work to set such hunts up.

Damn crying shame in this world now a days that you have to worry about legal matters so much. Gone are the days of knocking on a land owners door and asking them to hunt. Am talking to a attorney and insurance company now and setting up a LLC.

I would really enjoy letting folks get a chance to get some hogs, but you have to worry about them falling drunk out of a blind and sewing your pants off anymore. Just shows how much this country has gone down hill over the years I guess. To many liberals to many attorneys.
