Discussed a slow season earlier this year and decided to set up a game cam. in about a month we have had 3 does pictured on one end of the lease once and three does (might be the same) on another part of the lease.

They came to corn but its not a habbit. Anything I can do to keep the does around to hope for a buck?

(1) find more does, they are there more than likely

where is your palce located?
whats the surrounding hunting pressure like?
are you givin the deer their space or intruding all over their bedding and feeding areas?

Are you driving or riding a 4wheeler to it? They could be extra skiddish

palo pinto/parker county line. Not far from the brazos. Mostly cows around us with one group of hunters across a creek. No 4wheelers and only drive the truck to fill feeders.

Lots of tracks this past week from them coming across the railroad tracks but only got one picture of them stopping to get their picture taken.

Maybe it just sux. I figured a river would help a bunch. have you googled to see if possibley there is a source just way better than yours that might not make them roam very far?

there is a tank just across one of our fence lines and the feeder i have over there is the least visited one of all.

No sign on the tank on our property much at all.

Are you using your lease for a gun range?

Right now, there is probably alot of spring browse coming up and the deer are probably concentrating on that. Remember, deer will eat green before they eat the yellow. If there is abundant food, they are just not interested in your corn. Give it some time, keep the cameras rolling, if they are there, they will finally need to eat the corn when everything dries up. How long have you had your feeders going and how long have you been on this place?

I just got on at the end of last dove season. Saw one doe all season which i shot. After being frustrated i finally setup a game camera and since then got a few pictures of does but definantly not regularly.

Have 2 electric feeders that I run about 4 seconds a day and have been running them since right before deer season. its a small place only 150 acres.

two houses with a few acres to the left, railroad then creek to the north, brush/trees to the right with i believe two tanks and large open pasture to the south.

How is the cover on your place. Is it thick brush, open pasture, trees....?? With the description you gave I do not believe that I would want to be there if I were a deer!!!

Its got it all. Have two large open pastures, a few hardwood groves (live oaks), some heavy areas of cedar and other small bushes.

that is from one of the hardwood groves. Daylight to show the cover look.

Okay, the cover does not look bad. There does seem to be alot of new green grass coming up and that is what they are going to concentrate eating at this time. If it were me, I would plant some oats this fall or a food plot to draw deer off of your neighbors place and from across the creek if that is possible. You are going to need something besides corn to draw those deer to your place. 150 acres, locked on one side with open pasture and houses on another side, not too good for deer bedding on your place. Probably too much noise from the houses, too open on the other side. Plant something and see what happens!!!

after some rain the grass through there is deep green. Grass is appetizing to them. I thought they would want something more exciting.

That grove is on the complete opposite corner as the houses and open pastures but is near the railroad tracks.

I don't think there is anything much more exciting to a deer then new green grass. Acorns in the fall maybe. Corn has little nutritional value to a deer. It is a filler and they eat it sparingly when there are other things growing or available to them that they know are good for them.

I only have 40 acres, and my house is on it. I ride my 4 wheeler every day, and shoot on a regular basis and it doesn't seem to bother the deer.
