What's the value of a tec 9 looking to buy 1

My guess would be about $500 depending on the shape it was in. Had a buddy looking at one a while back in that range.

save yourself the money. For lack of a better term they are ghetto and mechanically garbage guns. You will be sick of it in 6 months and want something that shoots for real. Check out the Beretta CX4 or some of the Uzi clones from Vector Arms if you want a gun that works.

Spare parts for the Tec line are drying up, just something to think about. They are a cheaply built tube gun but actually work well. Current price seem to be around the $500 mark as a starting point. The Tec-9, DC-9, and AB-10 are all different models of the same gun.
If you are looking for a fun range toy in that price range you should look at the MPA line of Mac's. Built like a tank and easy to get parts for if needed.

varmintslayer has one listed on here w/2 mags for $400 obo.
Saw possibly the same one listed on Texas gun trader for $375
last night.
