Depends. I have a lease I have had for 3 years and still haven't met the owner. Leased three places in the same area based soley on google maps. Risky move, but it has paid off

I leased a place a few years ago that I had never seen but I talked to a guy that had been hunting on the place for 10 years and went off his word. The place turned out great and I hunted it for 3 years. Maybe he can give you a phone number to a previous member and you can call him. If they did not part on bad terms he shouldn't mind doing that. If they did part on bad terms I would want to know what happened.
